It all started in Brooklyn in 1988 with the union of two of New York's most infamous "boosting" crews. Since then the Lo Lifes have become a cultural phenomenon, engulfing the undergound music scene. Founding members Rack Lo and Thirstin Howl III have remained at the forefront of the movement, while underground elite MCs like Meyhem Lauren and Shaz Ill York have mantained the rawness and edge that propelled the group to iconic status. Even burgeoning visual artists like TTK have displayed a more polished side to the movement.
However, there are Official Lo Life chapters all over the world, repping and upholding the culture to the fullest. My homie ROLEKZ of the European graff crews UV and TPK crews, is one such man. One of the founding members of the Paris Polo Club (PPC), he is holding down the crown in France all while throwing up the L's in his part of the Polo Planet. He recently sent me these pics featuring DJ Low Cut and the homie Fresh LO Crib, as well as some of the other members of the PPC Lo Lifes, which is presently about 30 deep.
