Artists SUEWORKS and MEAR create 3D graffiti mural on Unique Photo on Route 46
FAIRFIELD — Renowned graffiti artists SUEWORKS of West New York and Jorge Sifuentes of Paterson, a.k.a. MEAR, spent Monday and Tuesday painting a 33-by-140-foot mural on the side of the Unique Photo Superstore building on Route 46 West.
The artists, using 500 cans of spray paint purchased from Home Depot in Montville, have turned the front of the 4,620-square-foot building into what they described as the largest 3D graffiti mural in the country. The mural, facing the highway, will be visible to the nearly 50,000 cars that pass the building daily.
The reason for the project was to recognize the artists and photographer Seth Wolfson of Bloomfield, and bring attention to an art and photo gallery display of the work they recently performed in war-torn sections of Israel.
