As an indispensable figure in the New York downtown scene, skateboarder Harold Hunter touched the lives of many with his generosity and affable personality. After his passing in 2006, Harold Hunter Day was established to commemorate the live of Hunter and recognize his contribution and significance to the community, as well as to bring NYC’s skateboarding community together.
The third annual Harold Hunter Day, held by Harold Hunter Foundation in conjunction with Zoo York, New Era, CCS and DC Shoes, will kick off on Oct 10 at Manhattan Bridge Skate Park. A four hour all-age skate jam with beats provided by DJ Smoke LES and DJ Ani will be held during the day, after which, an afterparty will go down at KCDC Skate Shop in Brooklyn.
At the event, exclusive New Era hats and HH Day III tees will be sold to benefit the non-profit Harold Hunter Foundation which aims to help inner city kids gain valuable experience and opportunity by developing their interests in skateboarding. Come out, join in the fun for a good cause and support the NYC skating community!
