Setting things straight PRL BRAND

Time to set thing straight with the POLO Ralph Lauren brand.
There's only one original Ralph Lauren Polo so don't get confused by the imitators when you go shopping for your favorite clothing brand.

1. Ralph Lauren Polo vs South African Polo

Ok, there seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the Polo Ralph Lauren brand and Polo s.a. clothing. Specifically when comparing the emblem of their newely purchase garment to the Ralph Lauren Polo.

Well, if you didn’t know this then you have no sense of fashion, They are 2 entirely different brands/companies!

If you look at the image side by side:
The blue prancing horse on the left is the Polo by Ralph Lauren.
Label on the back should say “Polo by Ralph Lauren” (not illustrated) The horse should face towards the buttons.

The white strolling horse on the right is the South Africa branded Polo.
Label on the back should say “Polo” with the horse next to it. (not illustrated)
The horse should face away from the buttons (image is flipped facing left for better comparison)

They both have very similar resemblance, but you can see the difference if you look properly. Just be aware of what you’re purchasing.
Hope this clears things up a bit.

2. Ralph Lauren vs U.S. Polo Association's

Here's another company trying to ride off the RL Polo brand.
Ok, there seems to be a bit of confusion again with this company called U.S. Polo Association's.

Here in the USA I see a lot of people sporting out U.S. Polo Association's thinking they are wearing Ralph Lauren when they are not... Ooh!

Ralph Lauren‘s Polo logo has become so synonymous with his brand that the U.S. Polo Association has been denied the right to use a horseman logo in marketing its own products.

In a lawsuit filed in November, the USPA claimed that Ralph Lauren was ‘attempting to monopolize the depiction of the sport of polo’, But federal judge Robert Sweet failed to find favour with the organisation, ruling that the USPA’s double horseman marque would cause ‘customer confusion’ when used with the word ‘polo.’

So there you have it... There's only one original Ralph Lauren POLO
so don't get confused by the imitators... Stay cool, take care and shop smart.

Signing off SUEWORKS, Lo-Lifes 1988.
