RACK-LO interview

In the late 80's and early 90's there was one particular street crew that defined style in the New York City streets. The Lo-Lifes, formed in 1988 in Brooklyn, NY was and still is the major fashion influence in the world of hip-hop. The crew was made up of two major boosting crews from St. Johns and Utica and from Marcus Garvey Village in Brooklyn and now has chapters in Philly, New England, France, Germany and Japan. Through high profile smash and grab raids on New York and Philly's top retail outlets such as Macy's, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdales, the Lo Lifes single handedly made Ralph Laurens clothing lines a must have in the hood. This trend stands today with the inflated prices of select items on E-Bay that have become collectors items due to the shortage of inventory in stores throughout the 90's. Rack-Lo is not only an Original Lo-Life but one of the founding members of this family. Just as Michael Corleone sought to legitimize the "family business", through branding and music, Rack-Lo is on the same mission.
