What a way to start the New Year with an Interview with the one and only REE mta president.
I got a chance to sit down with Ree before the holidays started and I asked him a few questions. Here is the Exclusive Interview With Mr. REE.

UB: State your name.
REE: OPEL, PULL174, REX
UB: In what year did you start writing??
REE: 1972 on the wall and Bus, Bronx Zoo Section
UB:. Who created the MTA crew and in what year did it start?
REE: Chino Malo and Myself.
UB: Who are the original members of MTA Crew? And who are the members now?
REE: KADE, TEAN, REX, REE, OPEL, RUFF, RIB, TIO, BEST 2SWIFT, CRANE, IMAGE, MICH, HELA, SHY147, SUNSHINE, COS, DEAN, etc.
TECK, SUE, MEK, DEMER, ect.
UB: Who influenced you to start writing graff?
REE: HONDO, IRON MIKE and SUPER KOOL.
UB: Who where your bombing partners?
REE: In the early days were Chino Malo, then RUFF, BEST 2SWIFT, MITCH CRANE KADE, TEAN, VINE, FLU, TYBU, SHY
UB: What lines did you king?
REE: The 2 & 5 in 1976-1977
UB: Where are you from?
REE: Born in DR and raised in the Bronx.
UB: . When and why did you quit?
REE: Being on the Most Wanted List from 1975 to 1976 plus the cops were hot on my trail.
UB: When and why did you come back to the graff game?
REE: MEEK awaking me in 2002 and never stopped since then.
UB: How do you feel about the book subway art?
REE: Missed a lot of the real action.
UB: You think you would have more fame if you had come out in the book?
REE: No the cats from my era knew me and that’s what counts.
UB; Do you think half of the writers that came out in that book copied your style?
REE: Yes. A lot of them have but will never said that they did.
UB: Do you need to get anything off your chest in this interview?
REE: NO
UB: Do you have any hard-core story about bombing the lines?
REE: Just look on the Top of the right side of my head. It took more than forty stitches to close it and more than three month to heal.
UB: What is your favorite paint to use?
REE: The best paint that I used was Red Devil then Rusto.
UB: How do you feel about graff these days?
REE: The art has changed so much.
UB: Where has graffiti taken you?
REE: PR, Holland, Japan
UB: Any last words or shout out’s?
REE: Can we all get along?
