The self-titled album by SPINNERETTE, a band fronted by Brody Dalle, formerly of THE DISTILLERS. From the opening song, 'Ghetto Love', Brody's vocals shine. But this is nothing new. During her days as the vocalist for THE DISTILLERS, she single-handedly made most of todays bands' singers sound like they were neutered at birth.
This release brings a much awaited breath of fresh air to a catatonic rock scene replete with taste-deficient A&R execs, as well as a new style for Brody. In addition to 'Ghetto Love', there are other songs that stound out. Check out 'Baptized By Fire'; 'A Spectral Suspension'; 'Sex Bomb'; and the closingtrack 'A Prescription For Mankind'.
